“Research Analyst” is not merely a professional title that anyone may claim. Under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014, no person may act as, or hold themselves out as, a research analyst without a Certificate of Registration from SEBI.
Registration requires prescribed professional qualifications, including a recognised degree in finance, commerce or economics, the NISM Post Graduate Program in Securities Market, or a CFA Charter. A research analyst must also pass the mandatory NISM Series-XV: Research Analyst Certification Examination.
The NISM certification is valid for 3 years and is renewable by re-examination. Applicants must meet SEBI's “fit and proper” criteria and continue complying with conduct, record-keeping and disclosure requirements.
Before publishing research on a stock, a research analyst must disclose any personal financial interest in that security. These disclosures help readers identify potential conflicts, but they do not replace independent judgment, suitability assessment or attention to the risks stated in the report.

| Typical output | Reports, target prices, sector notes | A financial plan, portfolio recommendations, ongoing reviews |
Money n Wealth's principal is SEBI-registered as an Investment Adviser, so the equity research function is built to feed into personalized, suitability-mapped advice rather than leave the suitability judgment entirely to the reader.
